Article Abstract:
Issues concerning techniques and types of central venous catheters used in administration of drugs are discussed. Particular attention is given to descriptions of different types of catheters, including tunnelled, centrally or peripherally inserted catheters.

Managing occlusion in central venous catheters
Article Abstract:
The use of central venous catheters is discussed with emphasis on ways to manage occlusion. Nursing techniques for when the catheter becomes blocked in some way are described and advice on when the line is safe to use is presented.
