The value of new patients
Article Abstract:
New patients should represent 40% of all dental production. This occurs because most dentists spend more time with new patients than with existing patients. New patients will also see the dental hygienist for tooth cleaning and may want other services. Many new patients are looking for a second opinion or may not be happy with their current dentist.

The purpose of a business
Article Abstract:
Dentists should try to find a balance between the three major reasons for starting a private dental practice: providing income to the dentist, a satisfying job to the employees, and high-quality dental services to patients. Focusing exclusively on one purpose may work in the short-term but not over the long-term.
