Therapy for Kaposi's sarcoma: recent advances and experimental approaches
Article Abstract:
The authors discusses recent advances in treatment of Kaposi's sarcoma (KS), both in development of drugs which seem to be effective against it, such as paclitaxel, and in understanding the pathogenesis of the disease, allowing more insight into research. He points out that thalidomoide is being tested since it seems effective, and that anti-HIV treatments seem to also inhibit development of KS.

The evolving cost of HIV in South Africa changes in health care cost with duration on antiretroviral therapy for public sector patients
Article Abstract:
Based from a health care perspective, a nongovernmental organization supported a public sector antiretroviral treatment (ART) program near Cape Town, South Africa. It is suggested that due to reduction in hospital costs, the total cost of treatment for patients of ART fell by almost half after 1 year.
