Thirst to be equals
Article Abstract:
Nurses on primary group boards, who often find themselves undermined by doctors who are in the majority, need training for membership of such a board. Nurses' satisfactory contribution to the board requires them to have boardroom, political, leadership and negotiating skills. Doctors need to understand that they are not all-powerful, and that they can work in partnership with nurses rather than always assume a dominant rule.
