Training rife with sexual harassment
Article Abstract:
A survey of sexual harassment among 82 physicians in a training program of the University of California at San Francisco found that 3/4 of the female respondents had been sexually harassed, almost always from male doctors. Three-quarters of the women who had been harassed failed to report the incident because they felt that they would not be helped. One-fifth of the male physicians surveyed had been sexually harassed, usually by a male or female nurse.

Gaslight-era attitudes hobble today's medicine
Article Abstract:
Persons with influence on health care policy tried in the past to reduce the cost of medical care by doubling the number of medical colleges and increasing the number of graduates. However, medical care costs have not responded to the law of supply and demand. Antitrust laws, which prevent competition from reducing the number of medical schools and graduates, should be updated to control the surplus of physicians.
