The outsiders
Article Abstract:
Health care for the socially excluded needs a new approach. It is easy to perceive marginalized groups, including travellers, as victims who cannot be helped. This sort of attitude can lead to further powerlessness and ultimately to the exclusion bring considered the fault of the victim. However, social exclusion is a process not a situation. It occurs due to poor public policy. A useful approach to promoting equality of access to health care would be to tackle the processes which create social exclusion at the same time as introducing positive measures for socially excluded groups.

Tasteful pictures
Article Abstract:
There is a need for people with learning difficulties in the United Kingdom to develop skills related to cooking and shopping, with the move toward care in the community where they have to learn to care for themselves to a greater extent. This trend means that teaching materials are important, and photographs can play a useful role in teaching these skills. The photographs should be selected with care so they are clear and unambiguous. Use of photographs has been shown to improve motivation and help in the selction of food for shopping and preparation.
