Trends in management and outcomes of patients with acute myocardial infraction complicated by cardiogenic shock
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to assess trends in early revascularization and mortality for patients with cardiogenic shock complicating acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and to determine whether the national guidelines affect revascularization rates. It is concluded that the use of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for patients with cardiogenic shock was associated with improved survival in a large group of hospitals with revascularization capability.

Financial barriers to health care and outcomes after acute myocardial infarction
Article Abstract:
The financial barriers to health care services or medication among individuals following acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and their association with subsequent health care outcomes are evaluated. The results have shown that the financial barriers to health care services and medications are increasingly associated with worse recovery after AMI, manifested as more angina, poorer quality of life and higher risk of rehospitalization.

Lowering homocysteine in patients with ischemic stroke to recurrent stroke, myocardial infraction, and death
Article Abstract:
The utility of homocystein-lowering therapy to reduce stroke risk has been confirmed by randomized trials. The findings of the association of total homocystein with stroke risk has been presented.
