Turning outcomes into plans
Article Abstract:
Some basic rules will help teachers and trainers with the difficult task of lesson planning. They should acquaint themselves with as much information as possible about the students and the physical environment in which the lesson will take place. Trainers can always benefit from trying to imagine themselves in their students' place. A vital aspect of lesson planning is to ensure that the plan relates to the learning outcomes. The trainer should be prepared to omit any unnecessary material and should always ensure that students have done the groundwork before moving on to new material.

Lesson-planning
Article Abstract:
Individual lesson-planning will help a nurse who is involved in teaching. The most important element is the establishment of learning outcomes, as these set the lesson design. Many teachers find the use of a form helpful. This should be individually designed by the teacher to suit their needs, but may include background information as well as the proposed learning outcomes and the sequential plan of the lesson. Plans are an aid to the teacher, who should feel free to abandon them in the course of a lesson if necessary.
