Ultrasonographic estimate of birth weight at 24 o 34 weeks: a multicenter study
Article Abstract:
Fetal weight estimates for prematurely born infants may not be consistent between hospitals. Researchers examined the ultrasound-based calculations of 171 cases for each of three major tertiary centers. Due to the use of 26 different equations, each center had a unique accuracy range and a different weight set point to achieve a 70% accuracy for weights above 1,500 grams.

Does an amniotic fluid index of less than or equal to 5 cm necessitate delivery in high-risk pregnancies? A case-control study
Article Abstract:
Pregnant women with an amniotic fluid index of five or less do not have a higher risk of adverse pregnancy outcome than other women. Reduced amniotic fluid is thought to indicate a potential problem, but a study of 79 women found no need for induced labor in these women.
