Urinary catecholamines and metabolites in the immediate postoperative period following major surgery
Article Abstract:
The patterns of urinary catecholamine excretion and feasibility of biochemical screening for phaeochromocytomas in the immediate postperative period is studied. It was seen that catecholamine and metabolite excretion did not increase much after the major surgery and hence it was found feasible to perform simple urinary screening for possible phaeochromocytoma.

The report of the primary hypereosinophilic syndrome with solid colon tumours and sudden death caused by pulmonary emboli is discussed.
