Using finger-toe pulse oximetry to assess arterial blood flow
Article Abstract:
The finger-toe pulse oximeter is used to assess arterial supply to the lower limb of patients, and identifies arterial insufficiency to indicate whether it is possible or not to compress safely at pressures. The benefit of using finger-toe pulse oximeter is that it allays patients' fears about compression bandaging which has an effect of improving concordance with the treatment.
