Using patient and staff stories to improve risk management
Article Abstract:
Histories about clinical incidents include the accident-producing contexts, which help practitioners to recognize warning signs and powerfully reinforce the importance of safe practice. The power of these accounts to engage and ultimately change behaviour is studied by researcher Bate who peaches of the way in which personal tales-with their universal emotions and grounding in everyday life have the ability to engage a wide range of health care workers, cutting across hierarchies.

Sifting evidence
Article Abstract:
Evidence-based health practices must be backed up by the effective use of clinical research to ensure patients feel confident about the treatment they receive. Guidelines are an ideal method of assessing clinical effectiveness when using research-based health care techniques. Cancer care research has proved an ideal basis for checking the effectiveness of evidenced-based work against the practical use and competence of practice.

A varied and dynamic environment
Article Abstract:
Accident and emergency (A&E) offer the nurses an opportunity to develop an enormous range of clinical skills that would equip them to work practically anywhere and also helps them to develop the ability to think quickly and maintain a cool head in a crisis. A&E can be challenging at times but it can also be enjoyable with the ever changing pace and unpredictable nature of the job.
