Varicella vaccination: evidence for frequent reactivation of the vaccine strain in healthy children
Article Abstract:
The Oka chickenpox vaccine may reactivate inside the body, boosting the production of antibodies against the wild-type virus. In a study of 4,631 vaccinated children followed for 4 years, the rate of reactivation and immunological boosting exceeded the rate of exposure to wild-type varicella.

Unraveling the strands of HIVs web
Article Abstract:
The author contends that accepted theory which says that HIV destroys CD4 cells which need to be restored in huge quantities, but the ablity gradually diminishes is not probable. He suggests that shortened life span of CD4 cells with no change in production of new ones is more likely.

The role of CD4+ lymphocytes in the susceptibility of mice to stress-induced reactivation of experimental colitis
Article Abstract:
Stress can reactivate colitis in mice and CD4+ T cells appear to be involved. Stress reduces levels of mucin and increases mucosal permeability, which would allow sensitizing agents to enter the mucosa more easily.
