Victory over leprosy draws nearer
Article Abstract:
Advances in the drug treatment of leprosy make it a possibility to treat all people suffering from leprosy, but puts research on a vaccine in the background. The World Health Organization has vowed to attempt to eliminate leprosy as a public health problem, which means reducing the number of cases to 1 in 10,000 people.

Imagine victory over tuberculosis

The WHO Tuberculosis Programme aims to control tuberculosis amid a growing number of AIDS patients infected with the disease. The program's success is evident in China, where over 90% cure rates were achieved when it was adopted.

Tuberculosis need not kill
Article Abstract:
Tuberculosis is curable with regular, comprehensive treatment. Patients should continue to take their medicine, even after their symptoms disappear. The treatment of a tuberculosis patient in Southeast Asia is described.
