Jim Rose, performance artist and founder of the Jim Rose Circus, was born on December 21, 1956 in Oregon. He founded his circus shows in the early 1990s, masterfully exploiting the so-called yuck factor - feelings of revulsion, shock, or horror triggered by a sight or action, and also released a performance video, 'The Jim Rose Circus Sideshow' in 1993.
