Michael Blakemore

A biography is presented of Australian-born theatre and film director, Michael Blakemore, who won Tony Awards for his 2000 New York productions of "Copenhagen" and "Kiss Me, Kate." Blakemore studied medicine, attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and was an accomplished actor, before he directed his first play, "A Day in the Death of Joe Egg."
