Kann, chairman and CEO of Dow Jones & Co., born in New York City on December 13, 1942, is a Pulitzer prize-winning journalist, who spent early part of his career with the Wall Street Journal. He took measures to prevent the company from sinking into bankruptcy in the 1990s and formed a partnership with the Hearst Corp. to launch the Wall Street Journal Magazine of Personal Business.
