Rex Tillerson, chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil Corp. has a reputation as a shrewd deal broker and is known among the business press and his colleagues for his adeptness at negotiating with contentious heads of state, foreign ministers, and heads of oil companies in other countries. Tillerson faces many controversial issues as head of ExxonMobil including global warming and soaring gas prices but observers believe he projects a more approachable public image than that of his often impatient predecessor.
