Steve Coleman: Jazz saxophonist and composer

Steve Coleman is a reputed saxophonist, composer, and bandleader and is known for melding jazz improvisation with various other musical forms and through jazz, he seeks to explore the influences of African diaspora on musical forms and experiment musically with concepts of spirituality and ancient occult philosophy. Coleman was honored with the Herb Alpert Award in the Arts in 2000 and has launched several business ventures including the music-publishing companies Goemon Publishing and is the president of two record labels, namely Time Lord Records and C & M Music Productions Inc.

Heymann, a reputed epidemiologist appointed as the executive director of the communicable diseases program of the World Health Organization (WHO), is credited for the discovery two new diseases and unlike other epidemiologists who specialize in one or two diseases, he is an expert in many diseases. Heymann believes that epidemiology is an important and useful science that can be applied to any disease anywhere and is optimistic that a solution can be found to everything.
