Luis Alberto Urrea, a writer of novels, short stories, books of nonfiction, and poetry is most famous for his border trilogies, which include nonfiction works like 'Across the Wire' and other works, which related to the plight of the poor people in Mexico. He also taught writing on a freelance basis and later began teaching at the university of Illinois where he was an associate professor of writing and English.

Lionel Shriver
