A cure for drooping blooms
Article Abstract:
Many perennials grow tall and will bend and droop unless supported. Small twiggy branches will support the shorter perennials such as carnation pinks. For taller plants like delphiniums, hoops, wire fences, twine, stakes, and even tomato cages can be used. Tips are given on installing the supports.

Perennials serve as excellent foundation plants. Their interesting texture and shape, low cost and resistance to diseases and insects make them well suited for a variety of home and commercial settings. Ideal foundation perennials have foliage that maintains its form all season.

Ornamental willows

There are several members of the willow family. The trees blossom early in the spring and provide light shade which helps grass to grow. They grow best in a soil with a 6.5 pH alkaline.
