The South was home to 16 presidents. Among the most prominent presidential residences and recreational areas are James Madison's Montpelier estate, James Monroe's Ash Lawn-Highland estate in Virginia and the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park and LBJ ranch in Texas.

A capital salute to spring

Springtime Tallahassee is a major attraction in Tallahassee, FL. The festival runs for a whole month and features sporting events, activities for children and the Grand Parade. The Florida State University Flying High Circus is a main feature of the festival.
