The Galveston Seawall in Galveston, TX, is probably the most significant monument in this town. People congregate at the seawall to watch the sunrise, enjoy the beach or simply take a walk by the sea. The wall was built in 1904 as part of the town's efforts to rebuild after a disastrous hurricane.
