John Eric Byers
Article Abstract:
John Eric Beyers, furniture designer presented his works at Boston's gallery NAGA in collaboration with Clark Gallery, Lincoln that included blocks of design on spheres and ellipse, circle, square, cylinder and rectangle. Byer's vocabulary patterns are derived from textile swatches, harlequin designs and circus ornament.

Transformation
Article Abstract:
The theme of transformation is taken as the basis of judgement for the jurors' of the biennial Elizabeth R. Raphael Founder's Prize Exhibitions, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For every show a different material like metal, glass, wood, and ceramics is prescribed and metamorphosis of the materials is judged.

Dorothy Caldwell
Article Abstract:
An exhibition held at Mobilia Gallery in Cambridge, Massachusetts presented several wall hangings created of Dorothy Caldwell. Caldwell works her surface with print-based wax-resist and discharge techniques, often with Indonesian tjanting tools and brushes to paint or draw on the surface.
