'Looking Forward, Glancing Back: Northwest Designer Craftsmen at 50', a golden anniversary exhibition organized by Northwest Designer Craftsmen (NWDC) in collaboration with the Whatcom Museum of History and Art, Washington invigorated the arts of postwar years. NWDC is a group inspired by the national-scale efforts of the American Craftsmen's Council to elevate the practice and perception of the craft.

Long beach museum of art: long beach, California
Article Abstract:
The Long Beach Museum of Art is a tranquil complex of gardens, terraces and shingled Arts and Crafts-style structures and just a half-hour's drive south from downtown Los Angeles. It has "reinvigorated" its commitment to craft and set out to carve a niche as one of the few West Coast museums where crafts have a permanent showplace.

The Oakland museum of California

The Oakland Museum opened in 1969, is a place to see CaliforniaEs unique craft history. It consist of three existing municipal institutions- the Oakland Art Gallery, the anthropology- oriented Oakland public Museums and the snow Museum.
