The simple beauty of the translucent poppy flowers inspired David Parr to cultivate a field of poppies along Montevallo Road in Birmingham, Al. The different colors of the flowers have attracted visitors driving by the roadside. Tips on how to grow excellent poppies are listed.

The tree that changes twice

The beech is one of the best-loved trees in the American South. Its distinctive grayish bark sets it apart from other trees and it is the only one that undergoes two foliage changes: green in the summer to golden in autumn up to March.
