Rinker on collectibles: Family stories
Article Abstract:
Harry Rinker states that the vast majority of objects that he appraises at verbal appraisal clinics are family pieces handed down from one generation to the next and as a result of this he gets to hear family stories. He feels that most of family stories that contain kernels of truth are flawed and hence he needs key information when he attempts to authenticate and value an object.
