Hunting for hammered aluminum

Ornamental relief figures, trays, coasters, smoking stands and a number of other products made of hammered aluminum were all the rage from the 1930s to 1950s. Aluminum hammered with patterns, also called poor man's silver and the magic metal was practical because it was strong yet light, and did not rust.

Cracker Jack is crisp, crunchy kernels of candy-coated popcorn and candy-coated peanuts. Until 1899, Cracker Jack was only available in large tubs, a moisture-proof box was introduced in 1902 and the company was then called Rueckeim Bros. & Eckstein.
