Savannah rings in the season
Article Abstract:
Savannah's first church service was held in Gen. James Oglethorpe's tent in 1733 when he arrived at Yamaclaw Bluff with first group of settlers, and Christ Church stands exactly on the same spot there. Savannah has other historic churches as well, which include the Mother Church of Georgia, First African Baptist Church, Cathedral of St. John and Jewish Synagogue Congregation Mickve Israel.

Beth Bauer, 2002 LPGA Rookie of the Year, has an impressive list of honor stormed through the junior golf circuit winning 17 tour events as well as player of the year honors in 1997 and 1998. Beth failed to qualify for the LPGA Tour in her first try, but by the end of 2002, her first year in LPGA Tour, she claimed the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year title.
