The antique detective: Japanese cabinetry-simply beautiful
Article Abstract:
The hand-forged iron hardware that defines the 18th and 19th century Japanese cabinetry and examples relating to the Japanese mastery of lacquer dating to the early 18th century are explored. The Tansu chests of Japan are described which can be adapted to our contemporary lifestyles, that include space for clothing, linens, medicine and business supplies.
