The enduring majesty of American elms
Article Abstract:
The supremely hardy and adaptive American elms were put to practical use by townplanners in the 1850s for their rapid growth and lack of low-hanging limbs. Destoyed to a great extent by urban expansion and the Dutch elm disease in the 1930s, they enjoy a new lease of life in the 2000s due to private and government-led initiatives that have resulted in disease-tolerant varieties.

Earthy and appealing adobe
Article Abstract:
Adobe dwellings and buildings are common in the American Southwest, some of which are present in Acoma Pueblo, a village located sixty miles west of Albuquerque also know as Sky City. Adobe bricks are environment friendly considering that the bricks made from mud, are dried in the sun and then mortared together with soil and water.
