The owners of a house had problems with the soggy slope in the front lawn that they decided to hire a garden designer to beautify their home. The designer turned the front slope into a beautiful new terrace that fixes the drainage, adds privacy and provides a place to relax and entertain.

Fred and Hulda Schubert contracted landscape architects Lawrence Estes and Richard Dawson to design a unique front yard and walkway for their new home in River Oaks, Houston, TX. The walkway, rather than being a traditional direct walk to the front door, is a curved semicircular path.

James and Jean Boohaker contracted landscape architect Charles Sowell to design and execute a plan for the front yard of their home in Homewood, AL. The plan was designed for low-cost and low-labor maintenance, enabling the Boohakers to enjoy their garden without much work.
