An old tavern kitchen was modified and improved by preserving the open, friendly feel of the room and also including a formal eating area, where family and friends could also be entertained. The design for remodeling involved as little changes as possible and at the same time addressed interruptions and improved storage space.

The kitchen, which had the design suitable to the 1950s era, did not blend with the Tudor details that existed in the rest of the house, and hence the kitchen was remodeled to suit the Tudor style in the house.
