The transfer of human resource and management practice by Japanese multinationals to Australia: do industry, size and experience matter?
Article Abstract:
Japanese business values and human resource management techniques remain an important part of business for Japanese firms which operate subsidiaries in Australia. Emphasis is often placed on values which are regarded as important in Japanese culture, such as long service, loyalty and incentive schemes. Japanese human resource techniques were found in small firms, as well as larger companies, with firms established before 1986 paying particular attention to replicating Japanese methods.
