One option available to personnel managers who are interested in recruiting employees is to use private employment firms. One advantage of the agencies is that they can adapt to changing employee trends. They mainly deal with professional, clerical and administrative positions, and they adapt to markets by shifting employment fees to either employers or hirees. The placement agencies can also help personnel managers by acting as screening mechanisms for companies. The easiest way to select placement agencies is by using the phone book, and once agencies are selected, personnel managers should make sure to keep tabs on the placement firms.
