Labor costs in the new EU member states
Article Abstract:
The average labor costs in the newly joined member states of the European Union are considerably lower than the long-time members. The labor costs of both groups are compared and the implications for existing businesses are analyzed.

New labor code in force
Article Abstract:
The new labor code of Portuguese aims at promoting collective bargaining, equality between women and men, working time and deal with absenteeism and sickness. This new legislation is inline with the European Union Directives.
