Expatriate remuneration in a European context
Article Abstract:
British company executives on European assignments have been enjoying favorable salaries and benefits. However, modifications have been proposed on basic incentives, housing allowances, cost-of-living differentials and single-status assignments to reduce expatriates' allowances. Although the measures may allow cost-cutting, the cost-effectiveness is doubted. Concerns are raised on whether London is ready to sacrifice its international class executives for business novices.
