The move towards truly global investment performance standards
Article Abstract:
There is a need for the establishment of global investment performance standards (GIPS) to serve as a guide for investment managers and pension fund managers. Based on these standards, the managers can adopt measures to safeguard investments and reduce risk factors. A set of ethical standards for investment performance levels the playing field for members of the investment community. The GIPS can help eradicate investment disparity and guesswork.
