Computer-based training works
Article Abstract:
Computer-based training (CBT) tutorials offer corporations many advantages for helping the changing workforce to become computer literate. The advantages of CBT tutorials include availability, self-paced features, and changeability. Other forms of CBT technology that can improve efficiency and increase productivity include on-line help, reference guides, and job aids. The next significant CBT technology for training is the multimedia computer that integrates sound, video, and computer functions. The types of training that might benefit from multimedia programs include simulations of telephone work; videotaped customers connected to a sales presentation simulation; and filmed demonstrations.

Article Abstract:
Computer-based training (CBT) , which can be defined as a training tool kit of approaches using a computer, can be a successful way to increase employee productivity and performance. Advantages to CBT include: self-paced learning; distribution; and standardization. Effective programs also identify individual needs and focus on problem solving.
