Before you sign the HRIS contract
Article Abstract:
Purchasing a human resources information system (HRIS) requires certain contractual considerations to be taken into account including: knowing a company's requirements and using them to evaluate alternate proposals; getting proposals in writing; and asking potential suppliers to bring sample contracts when bidding. When considering a contract for a HRIS system, it is also important for personnel managers to be aware of and anticipate problems that can develop related to both general and specific contract clauses. Additionally, personnel managers should make sure to clearly delineate in a contract the acceptance procedures and terms.
