Legislation alone will not combat ageism
Article Abstract:
According to a study conducted by London School of Economics and Political Science, age discrimination legislation is likely to pose a greater problem for companies than other types of discrimination because employees do not recognize it as a crime. It is also observed that legislation alone will not be able to solve this problem. The companies must evolve practices to change the attitude towards age. Other findings of the study are also discussed.
