The development of political skill and political capital by global leaders through global assignments
Article Abstract:
Assigning of global assignments either in the form of expatriation or inpatriation to leaders may help them acquire valuable political skill and political capital. For the better understanding of the term political skill the political influence theory is used, a distinction between social capital and political capital is made and the concepts are separately understood for expatriation and inpatriation.
