Managing the older workforce
Article Abstract:
The importance older workforce has acquired over the years has been discussed because of the ratio of employed and inactive or retired people. The government policy to extend working life and the age discrimination legislation are some of the issues that face the industry. Suggestions are offered for managing older workforce and implications of the various relevant legislations are discussed.

Class actions would help to close the pay gap
Article Abstract:
Trade Unions in United Kingdom are hoping that Women and Work Commission will be able to persuade the government to amend Equal Pay Act of United Kingdom so that employees can resort to class actions in disputes related to equal pay. Such an amendment will help in reducing gender pay gaps.
