Unexplained scoring leads to inference of race discrimination
Article Abstract:
A Birmingham employment tribunal found that a housing officer of Caribbean origin faced racial discrimination when she applied unsuccessfully for promotion over a 15-month period, in "Duncan v Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council". Further, the tribunal found victimization when the applicant was not promoted to a post because of the grievance she had raised earlier.

Denial of "face-to-face" interview was race discrimination
Article Abstract:
A Watford employment tribunal finds in 'Mulla v S D C GB Ltd and others' that the applicant, who is of African origin, was racially discriminated against, when he was not appointed to the post of assistant supervisor, and was then made redundant. The tribunal further found evidence of victimization when the applicant was not considered for re-appointment.

Delay in training black employees was discrimination
Article Abstract:
The 'Johnson v Trade Team Excel Ltd' is discussed where a Watford employment tribunal found that an employee was discriminated against on racial grounds with respect to training and payment arrangements. The tribunal also found that a manager victimized the complainant for making the race discrimination allegation.
