Organizational flexibility in Australia
Article Abstract:
Organizational flexibility is a company's ability to adapt its processes to cope with external changes. Reactive flexibility is found in companies which do not have clear goals or formal rules while strategic flexibility is evident in companies which do have clear goals. Some companies are formally organised and have both clear goals and extensive rules while others do not have clear goals but do have extensive rules. A study of 50 organizations reveals that there are distinct differences between the four types mentioned above.
