Preparation is vital: Workplace learning and performance professionals must use statistics to plan for the future

Statistics show that by the 2010s, the number of workers above 55 years will be double, and 70%companies will be faced with a real problem of talent loss through the retirement of employees. Workplace learning and performance professionals need to employ the convergence of recruiting functions, performance management, succession planning, retention and compensation and other human resources functions with learning, called talent management, to prepare the company for the future.
