Reports for salary administration
Article Abstract:
A salary administrator uses a data base program to keep track of employee information by generating periodic reports, ad hoc reports, analytical reports, and procedural reports. Periodic reports give wage and salary information each month. Ad hoc reports classify base pay by job and employee. Analytical reports give base pay data based on job classification and can be used to statistically compare salaries for several different jobs. Procedural reports track jobs by classification with a corresponding title, and vice-versa. New reports that have been developed include productivity reports and performance compensation reports.

Use charts to plot progress
Article Abstract:
One way personnel professionals can learn to evaluate human resources practices and results is by using charts and data tables generated via an electronic spreadsheet on a personal computer. The charts and graphs are useful because the organized data can help to identify high-turnover positions, applicant referral information, and hiring response time. The spreadsheet software programs are especially effective because they can also generate useful reports.
