Software purchase: A to Z
Article Abstract:
Personnel management professionals selecting human resources management systems (HRMS) software for the first time should view the process from the vendors perspective to avoid making extra work for the selection team or uninformed and expensive decisions. The factors to consider in evaluating and selecting HRMS software include the number of people on the software evaluation team; presentations by vendors; and how to ask questions. The steps in the evaluation process include using the screening process to reduce the list of products to a manageable number; carrying out an in-depth evaluation of each of the products; and negotiating a contract.
