Training to beat asbestos deaths
Article Abstract:
Maintenance workers are still at risk from asbestos contained in buildings constructed before 1985, and hence the Control of Asbestos Work Regulations of 2002 introduces a duty on those responsible for commercial premises to manage asbestos contained in them and to ensure that employees receive the necessary training. Every employer must adhere to measures such as significant findings of risk assessment and relevant control and action level to safeguard employees from asbestos exposure.

A question of life and death
Article Abstract:
First aid is widely regarded as a sensible provision for employers in order to avoid workplace incidents that take place despite the best safety management. Hence, with the changing market of first aid training in response to employer demands, a small computerized medical device known as an automated external defibrillator (AED) is used to help workers suffering from a cardiac arrest by keeping them stable in the first three minutes of a cardiac arrest.
