Article Abstract:
The investigations of the new Physical agents (Vibration) Directive, that has increased the pressure on companies to reduce the risks associated with both hand-arm vibration (HAV) and whole body vibration (WBV), are discussed. The new requirements and a guide to best practice in risk management are summarized.

Safety culture
Article Abstract:
Safety culture can be possible only if all the employees and specially, the managers take it up as their personal responsibility to adhere to the rules of safe working. Thus, a proper safety culture will not compensate for bad working conditions, risky machinery and bad work habits.
